Mississippi State recognized as national leader in advancing first-generation student success

STARKVILLE, Miss. is recognizing Mississippi State as one of only 18 U.S. institutions of higher education among its newest class of FirstGen Forward Network Champions.
Network Champion institutions are an exclusive group serving as national leaders in advancing first-generation education efforts and contributing to evidence-based practices, leadership engagement, and scaling student supports.
Nearly 38% of 酴圖弝け students are first generation, meaning they will become the first in their immediate family to receive a four-year college degree. First-gen programming on campus is facilitated through the Division of Access, Opportunity and Success, which hosts activities and provides services throughout the school year to strengthen support through graduation.
